Bellingen Show 2008 Bellingen show was attended by members of the association. We had a small stall with hats, stickers and information for the public. We also had led classes in the horse programme. The weather was perfect after a week of rain and there were plenty of horses on show after the EI shutdown.
GFHHA stand at the Bellingen Show, It was great to see horses in our classes. Congratulations to Michael Bowhay with ‘Evening Star’ (Evie) who did exceptionally well in our classes as well as the Australian Brumby classes. A big well done to Chloe Thomas with ‘Queenie’ her 18 month old filly. Chloe broke Queenie in to halter and lead for the show only two weeks prior to the show, not bad for a 10 year old! Chloe made a big effort in her presentation and we were all proud of her.
– Judging of Champion & Reserve Champion in GFHHA class at Bellingen Show 2008 We caught up with people who had purchased Guy Fawkes Horses in the past. There is a lot of interest in horse registration and it would be good to see more horses in our classes at the Dorrigo Show being held in late November.
Chloe Thomas leading ‘Heritage Queenie’ Digby Foster leading ‘Heritage Clover’. If you are interested in registering your horse ready for the show please contact Erica on 02 66571016. Prize-money and ribbons will be given in our classes. Give it some serious thought and we look forward to seeing you there.
BELLINGEN SHOW MAY 20 & 21, 2006 For the first time in Australian history stud registered Guy Fawkes Heritage Horses were exhibited at an Agricultural Show in their own led and ridden classes. Guy Fawkes Clyde, owned by Arnold Duckett of Dorrigo and led by Committee member Graeme Baldwin was Champion Guy Fawkes Heritage Horse and narrowly missed out on being the Supreme Champion Led Horse of the Show. The judges approached us after the judging and told us that it was a very difficult decision. Note no polished hooves nor trimmed mane!! GF Clyde is a true Heritage Horse of the finest calibre.
